Focused on The Way, The Truth & The Life

This is my new blog, Following The Way, The Truth & The Life.

In the past year, I've simply started to read the bible a lot more, and I've been praying a lot more too.

In fact, since around the end of February this year, I've not read any other book, apart from books that seek to explain and comment on scripture, or build up and teach about aspects of the Christian faith.

Therefore, I feel like there's much to share, and much to offer, in terms of what I'm reading, what I'm hearing, and most importantly, what God is ultimately saying and doing.

On top of my reading, I've also been watching and listening to a number of sermons and talks by various gifted pastors in the world today, and they are nothing but inspirational and wonderful in their treatment and respect for people, scripture and enlightening us on the true nature of God.

And then comes the music - the wonderful sounds coming out of Bethel Music in Redding California are a constant source of joy, and together they make me hungry for more of that style of corporate musical worship in my own church in Warwick, England, and indeed for the Church of England itself.

So my new blog is merely to highlight and spread the Good News that I am hearing, reading, listening and watching and if nothing else, provide a record of the things that God is revealing to me through His Word and His people.

To finish this first post, a word from scripture -

They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Everyday their number grew as God added those who were saved.
Acts Chapter 2 - The Message Bible

Dear Lord,

Thank You so much for all You've shown me and continue to reveal this year. Thank You for the gift of Your Word, and for the gifts of speaking, music and media in proclaiming Your glory and Your mercy to the world.

I pray that we can be exuberant and joyful in our worship and fellowship, following the example of the first century followers.

Thank You Jesus for Your amazing kindness and forgiveness revealed on the cross.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
