Memorising Scripture - Take 2 (The Psalms)

After deciding to try to embark on memorising bible verses, I set my mind to thinking which particular passages I'd like to start with. The first was to get into the gospels - what could be better than to commit to heart and memory the life and words of Jesus? (the previous blog highlights my 1st verse in this context) But I also wanted to get into my head the Psalms. They are so lyrical and rhythmic - indeed I have used the Psalms to great advantage in some of my song lyrics. I've started with a verse from Psalm 59 - verse 16: But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning, I will sing of your love. For you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Oh Lord, I will sing of Your strength and of Your great love, which is ever present and all encompassing. You are my refuge, and You will never leave me, even when I stray away from You. In Jesus' name, Amen I've just started listening to the new Cageless Birds EP - We Rise. Check it out here: We Rise...
